Marketing Communications Specialist

You have probably never heard of a Fundraising Agency, most people haven’t. It’s true we are a unique business, but a business with support at its core whether that be with our charity clients or with our amazing team members.
We are looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist (internal job title: Marketing & Brand Lead) to join our busy and reactive team. Here at The Professional Fundraiser, or TPF to our friends, our diversity makes us stronger, and what matters the most is you as the person. A standalone role, you will report directly to our Senior Leadership Team, and your interactions will embrace the whole team, who will readily support in abundance to make sure you are successful.
Our Vision and What you’ll be doing;
You will be responsible for strengthening our brand and engaging our audiences - charities and prospective job seekers - thereby supporting our business growth. You will do this by producing engaging content for various digital channels, to include social media, email, blog; that inspires our audiences and that reflects both the professional and personal nature of our brand.
- You will be the custodian of our visual brand identity building a confident and authentic voice for our brand, ensuring all messaging is consistent with brand voice, style and tone.
- Manage and grow our company social media channels.
- Plan and execute all content creation for diverse platforms, including newsletters (internal and external), blog posts, podcasts, social media, email, and website content
- Create compelling case studies and digital storytelling pieces that support the development of thought leadership content and blog articles.
- Manage marketing activities that align with our company’s aims and goals, tracking and reporting on campaign performance, using metrics to guide decision-making.
- Support other areas of the business with content creation, not exhaustive of BIDS, company presentations, and training material.
- Collaborate with external vendors when required.
- Strengthen the team culture and help to uphold the organisational values through effective dialogue

So what are the person specifics for this role?
The right person is more important to us than the right qualifications, although as a standalone marketing role it is essential you have previous demonstrable and relevant experience.
- Content creation: Strong skills in writing, editing, proofreading and creating engaging content
- Digital channels: Experience with social media platforms, blog and email marketing
- Strategic thinking: The ability to develop, implement and analyse marketing campaigns
- Marketing tools: Proficiency with Mailchip/HubSpot (or similar), Canva/Adobe Creative Suite
- Journalistic approach: to content gathering and research

What are the benefits of being a TPF team member?
- A starting salary of between £35,000 - £38,000 DOE
