Our backstage team ensures performance.
Not all impact happens in the spotlight. Behind every conversation in the field is a network of people thinking ahead, solving problems, protecting standards, building structure, and creating the conditions for campaigns to perform consistently across the UK.
At The Professional Fundraiser, our backstage teams are the powerful force behind the work people see publicly. Some operate remotely, leading campaigns in real time across the country. Others are based from Church Farm, our Bedfordshire office, supporting the systems, operations, partnerships, and infrastructure that keep everything moving forward from behind the scenes.
Two places, one shared purpose.

A different kind of working environment
Church Farm reflects much of what we value as an organisation, thoughtful design, calm energy, collaboration, and space to think clearly. Set within the Bedfordshire countryside, the environment offers a slower and more grounded atmosphere than traditional corporate office settings, while still supporting ambitious, fast-moving work.
We believe the environment shapes experience, and experience shapes energy.

Features include:
Calm and considered working spaces, with elements of nature brought inside, considerations for sound dampening, and ambient lighting.
We have a few social spaces within our office barn, meeting barn and outdoor areas, with benches, plush couches and umbrellas. In our countryside setting, it's a relaxing space to unwind and catch up with colleagues.
Set on a working farm in the countryside, our offices act as a space to reset between the work calls. Take a walk along paddocks, enjoy the sound of willow leaves in the wind, and admire the horses and cows along the way.
If you enjoy cycling or running to work, we have a modern shower facility for freshening up before stepping into your first meeting of the day.
Great fundraising requires fuel, and we're happy to provide nutritious snacks and refreshments in the office. Healthy options of fruit, sustainable cereal bars and drinks are available at any time.
At TPF, we genuinely care about one another. We know that life is about more than work, and we make time to celebrate each other’s milestones, support each other through the tough days, and be there when it matters. We look out for one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and create a sense of belonging that feels more like a community than a workplace.
Our people, behind the scenes
Three dimensions of great leadership
We believe great leaders are developed, not simply hired. Whether you're applying for a management role or aspire to lead in the future, we'll support your growth through learning opportunities, practical experience and ongoing development. From your first day, you'll have access to training, mentoring and opportunities to build the skills and confidence needed to take the next step in your career.
Strategic thinking
We believe that great leaders and leadership teams are built around inclusivity and diversity of thought. We host regular workshops and thought sessions to streamline how we think about our leadership and how to best support the wider team. We are often on training and development courses to improve our leadership team as well as develop our personal leadership skills to be fair and inclusive leaders.

Operational execution
Our heads, hands, heart method of leadership encourages us to really understand first hand all the touchpoints that our team experiences. We get into the finer details, we understand the processes deeply, and we ensure that across each team, collaboration is seamless for operational excellence.

Team enablement
Our leaders employ a style that empowers others. Often being more of a collaborator than a manager. As people, we appreciate diversity of thought, and conversations that get to the deeper levels. We enable our team members with as much support as they need, and allow them to take ownership of their roles.

What we’re bringing to the team
The people-focused values within TPF are not written purely for presentation. They exist to shape behaviour, leadership, communication, and the way teams support one another every day.
Inclusive teams build stronger organisations
We are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we work within. For us, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion is not a statement written separately from the organisation itself. It is something that is visible in recruitment, leadership, communication, progression opportunities, and everyday behaviour.
